Bula! This thrilling Fiji snorkeling excursion comprises of guided snorkeling, an up-close turtle and Fiji iguana sanctuary visit, and 5.5-hour island hopping around Mamanuca Group of islands from Nadi. This is great for snorkeling lovers that like to try different snorkeling spots in one single trip. There are limited spaces available so click below to see availability before booking.

What You’ll Do

Your morning starts with a quick pickup right from your hotel lobby in Nadi area. You’ll hop on a spacious catamaran for a 30-minute ride out into the Mamanucas. First stop is near Beachcomber Island, where the crew throws fish food over the side so you can watch tropical fish go crazy right beside the boat before you jump in for a snorkel. The water here is crystal clear, so spotting parrotfish, damselfish, and bright coral is dead easy. Just imagine being unclose and personal with all the vibrant coloured fishes.

After snorkeling, you will head over to Treasure Island Resort to check out their marine conservation project. You get to see baby hawksbill turtles up close in their rearing tank where they’re looked after until they’re big enough to release into the ocean along with rare Fijian crested iguanas native only to Fiji (another place to see these iguanas is Kula Wild Park but that’s about 2hrs away from Nadi). Once you’ve hung out with the wildlife, you get plenty of free time to chill on the white sand beach, go for another dip, and have lunch (Note: lunch is not included however, the price is reasonable on the island).

Good to Know: Mamanuca Snorkeling

The passage between Nadi and the outer islands can get a little bumpy if the wind picks up, so grab some seasickness pills before boarding if your stomach is sensitive. Don’t forget to pack reef-safe sunscreen, a dry towel, a change of clothes, and a bit of Fijian cash (1USD ~ 2.21FJD) for drinks and food on the island.

FAQ: Mamanuca Fiji Guided Snorkeling Excursion

1. How long is the boat ride from Nadi to the islands?

The boat ride from the mainland jetty out to Beachcomber and Treasure Island takes about 30 to 45 minutes each way. This short transit time means less time commuting across open water and more time enjoying the islands.

2. What is included in the tour price?

Your ticket includes round-trip hotel transfers (from most Nadi, Wailoaloa, and Denarau accommodations listed at check-out), the boat ride, fish-feeding access, full snorkeling gear (mask, snorkel, and fins) and entry to the Treasure Island wildlife sanctuary. Lunch and drinks are not included so do pack some or have FJD cash for the island restaurant.

3. Is there an alternative to Denarau to stay for this excursion?

Yes, you can find the top 3 resorts in Wailoaloa which are more budged friendly compared to Denarau resorts. This cluster is also popular among solo travelers and backpackers. Though backpackers specifically wanting to stay in the Yasawas Group may find Barefoot Manta likeable.
