Day 1: Arrival & Colonial Landmarks
Check-In and drop your bags at the Holiday Inn Suva. Step outside and walk past Albert Park (the landing site of the first trans-Pacific flight in 1928). Visit the Fiji Museum in the lush Thurston Gardens. The Holiday Inn’s pool deck is the social hub of Suva at dusk. Enjoy a “Fiji Gold” beer while watching the sun dip behind the harbor. Walk next door to the Grand Pacific Hotel for high-end dining or stay for wood-fired pizza at Wati ni Wai or order pizza at Holiday Inn’s bar.
Note: What I love about Holiday Inn is that when ordering fried food and pizza from the bar menu, they give a bottle of ketchup, chill sauce, BBQ sauce and Tabasco. Literally the bottle!

Day 2: Rainforest Pools & Local Markets
Private Suva Nature and Waterfall Tour could be booked or follow below for more flexibility. Explore nature’s Infinity Pools by taking a 15-minute taxi to Colo-i-Suva Forest Park. Hike to the “Lower Pools” for a swim in cold, clear mountain water.
Have a casual lakeside lunch at the Colo-i-Suva Eco Lodge restaurant before heading back to the city. Alternatively, visit the Suva Municipal Market. Don’t miss the upstairs section to see the Kava sellers at work. It’s the heart and soul of the city’s commerce.

Day 3: Shopping
Suva Market and Flea Market are the go to for local shopping experience. Have lunch Tapoo City Food Court or MHCC Food Court which are the two biggest shopping malls in Suva with each having their own foodcourts at the top most floor.

Day 4: Modern Suva & Departure
Visit My Suva Park for a walk along the modernized seawall with excising and resting benches. There is a paid toilet and shower facilities at the park.
Note: Holiday Inn Suva is cashless. Pay with a card (3% surcharge) or use a local access card.
